90 Day "Challenge!"

I am starting a 90 day "Challenge!" to assist me in getting some projects done for Christmas. I thought I'd extend it to other quilters that need a little 'push' during this time of year. I find each year I always plan to much stuff then run out of steam to get them done, but maybe this year with everybody's help I will get done what I'd like to get done. So start thinking about what you would like to get accomplished (or what you already have on your list) and then get on over to My Quilting Buddies and read the rules and sign up under the 90 Day "Challenge!". You must be a registered members of MQB no later than Saturday October 25th, 2010 to be eligible for the prizes associated with this "Challenge!", so get on over there and sign up now!

Good evening quilters!

Boy, have I been a bad girl! I have not been on this blog for a few months and as I was doing some work on my own blog I decided I had better get on over here and do an update!

We were quiet at 'My Quilting Buddies' over the summer and not much gab or swapping was going on, but now that cooler weather is coming things are starting to heat up!

The gals are searching all over for new and interesting swaps and ideas. If you have any up your sleeve get on over to 'My Quilting Buddies' and let us know what your ideas are and if you would be willing to be a host.

Since the last post here, we have updated the site and it is sooooo cool. Easy to get around, easy to post and easy to find the things you are interested in. One of the cool tools you can use is 'view new posts'. Using this need tool you can check and see what new swaps are going on and keep up on all of the gab sessions too! No more searching and not finding just what you want because you won't miss anything! (You know us gals, we just hate missing anything!)

How many of you are doing the 'Fab Shop Hop'? I always loved to do these, but had to stop because I was doing more computer 'searching' than I was quilting. Also, when I actually managed to get gift certificates to different shops they were not anything I was interested in or everything I wanted was way over what the certificate was worth. So the shops saved money on me! I did do this one and managed to get all of the parts of the quilt. It was nice that there was a picture of it before I went looking for the parts. I am not a fan of mystery quilts and get very disappointed when the finished picture comes out and it is an ugly quilt! I would be really upset if I had put all that kind of work into a quilt that I didn't like. Besides quilt patterns 'talk' to me and let me know what fabric they really want to be made out of and a surprise just doesn't cut it.

What is your opinion of mystery quilts? Drop a comment and let us know!

Happy Quilting,
My Quilting Buddies!

April is at a close and May is just around the corner!!

Good evening My Quilting Buddies!!

It is time for us to close another month of swapping. All of our packages should be on the way to their new homes either to be put into new quilts (them pesky blocks we all made for each other) or the great pieces of fabric large and small that will be added to the stash and used for just the right project. We will be starting all over again in the month of May, so you need to skip on over to MyQuiltingBuddies.com to check out what we have done in the past so you can decide what you want to do in the future. The sign ups will begin on the 1st and go through the 4th for most of our swaps.

We'd love to have you join us so don't put it off for another second!

Come join in the swapping fun!!

It has been waaaay to long!!

Good evening MQB!!

I'm sorry I have not updated in a long time! Life just happens and then it is gone!! This year has flown by so fast. I don't know about all of you, but I haven't gotten as much done as I wanted to so far this year.

I think the biggest thing that has happened on the site is our new look! If you haven't logged on lately, please do. Tina and MsDesigns worked really hard a few weeks ago to get us updated. It sure is a new snazzy look with all of the old posts and a few new ideas.

There are a few new swaps going on and all are welcome to join in. Get on over to the site, pick out the ones that you are interested in and get ready to sign up for the month of May.

For all that haven't posted lets hear from you! You know what us gals are about----gab, gab, gab!! LOL!

Until the next time, Happy Quilting!
